Go ahead and say it....

I know, I know. Where on earth have I been? Busy. Just plain busy. No other word for it. And now that it's time for the holidays and winter breaks (when the UVA students leave) there doesn't seem to be an end in sight! It is good to be busy, but not in such a way that causes such STRESS! I have found myself thinking about work all the time. I even dream about it. I literally dream about project meetings. How weird! I think I am in serious need of a break! Unfortunately, taking a day off is worse at this point, because the emails just keep piling up. I don't have anyone to cover for me. And I cover for lots of folks. Funny how that works, uh?!
The good news is that the kiddos are doing well. I can't believe how much they've changed in the last few years. Sure, we've had our difficulties, but they are learning and we are too. The kids just got their report cards and I'm so proud to report all A's and B's for both of them! Not bad for middle school and high school! And the eldest is....driving!! She has her permit, but won't get her license until next spring/summer.
It's been cool lately, and fall has set in. I think peak color for the season was last week. Many of the trees in the yard are bare, a sign that winter is a comin'.
We finally had some pictures developed from our trip to CA this past summer. They are fantastic - the scenery was awesome - straight out of National Geographic! We've enlarged several and will be hanging them around the house. We continue with home projects, but can't seem to finish any of them : ) I'm guilty of this too. I still have some blue painters tape on the ceiling from when we painted...over a year ago!! One of these days I'll take it down!

Lunch hour is over. Back to work.... Calgon....take me away!!!!
