As if we didn't have enough change going on in our lives, just this week I was asked to take a temporary assignment on the hospital side of UVa (I work in the academic division, working on primarily new construction on the academic side of campus). The Emily Couric (yes, sister to Katie Couric) Cancer Center is opening in a month so there is a big push to get as much done as possible. The HSPP side (Health System Physical Plant = basically the hospital and the plant that runs the university on heating and cooling) came to the academic side to ask for an extra warm body to help = me. Monday morning I started so now I'm in an entirely new environment and office (totally different vibe on the HSPP side). It will take some getting used to. It's only temporary (until probably mid-May), but I miss my old office and co-workers. It will be good experience, however, no matter how it goes!
Anyway, so I've been busy, but will get back to baby stuff this Friday! We have Friday off for Spring Break Day (the students are off this week) so I plan to go look at strollers and other baby gear!
As for me and baby, my belly is getting bigger and lil Emma is kicking - a lot! I go to bed feeling her and she wakes up/moves around with me at 5:30am when the alarm goes off! Will we have a wild child on our hands?! I'm trying to eat healthy, aside from the occasional weakness (cheetos, ice cream, etc), knowing that the most weight gain is yet to come...!
