Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!! I have finally taken some time to set up this website and I'm so excited to be able to connect with everyone! I will fill you in on where I am and what I've been up to. For most of you, this is the first time seeing Jason, my boyfriend of two years. The above picture is from New Year's Eve at the Melting Pot. I look forward to telling you all about him and our fun together!

I'll give you just a quick background on what I've been doing the past couple of years. I've worked at UVa in the Facilities Management Dept. for a little over four years. I started out as a Project Manager, but last September became one of four Building Inspectors (we look for deficiencies in the buildings). I started grad school last summer through Averett University's MBA program here in Charlottesville and hope to graduate by December of this year. I lived in town in an apartment for a couple of years, but moved in with Jason last June. We've been together for about two years and my moving in was still a big step. We live a little north of C'ville in an area that is quickly being developed because of the high cost of living in C'ville. His house is built off the road though, and it is still very quiet. He has two children (pictured below), Brittany and Dalton. They are wonderful and we have a lot of fun together! Brittany is a very level headed, mature teenager and Dalton is growing up an inquisitive young man. Jason helps run his father's welding/steel fabrication business in town, a very reputable company. I tried my hand at welding recently, as Jason thought to make my mother a new mailbox post! It is a lot harder than it looks, that's for sure!

I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to keeping in touch! Please feel free to leave your comments and email me to share with me how YOU are doing!

Take care all,
Charlotte

Hi Charlotte!
It's great hearing from you. You look wonderful. I've linked your blog now so I can keep up with you and Jason (wedding bells??).

I've got a few more races coming up in March. We'll see how they go.

Take care!
